Maljeveq is a traditional ceremony for Paiwan Tuban to welcome ancestral spirits. The ancestral spirits are summoned to the sacrificial site through the wizard's sacrificial inscriptions, and then the takraw balls woven with yellow vines are thrown in the air. Warriors from each family on the thorn ball rack hold three-story high bamboo poles and compete to thorn the blessed balls. Each blessed ball represents different meaning. Whether it is struck or not requires superb skills, and the process is particularly exciting. The one who hits it represents receiving the blessing from the ancestors.
