In Tultepec, fire is a craft. Each March, Mexico's pyrotechnics capital pays a debt of gratitude to its patron saint for surviving their dangerous trade. Monumental bulls of cardboard and gunpowder become offerings in a ritual baptism of fire. The community doesn't flee the sparks; they dance with them in a collective catharsis, turning fragility into art. For another year, the debt is paid.
