The Zuiderzee Series explores the minimalistic Dutch landscape shaped by water and history. Once an inland sea, the Zuiderzee was closed off by a great dam in 1932, transforming it into the largest lake in Northern Europe. These photographs capture the stillness of horizons where land, water, and sky meet, echoing the quiet drama found in Dutch Golden Age painting. Like the masters before me, I seek light and atmosphere to reveal both fragility and resilience in this ever-changing landscape.
