This particular day the stars aligned. I had visited Scotland three times prior, but never would I have imagined I would be going home with this capture. It was our last evening we went to see the Highland ponies, and they had ventured out into the loch. Something I were told they usually never do. In March the green grass was sparse, but the ponies had discovered some in the shallow spots in the loch. For me this image embodied the feeling I've had since I first stepped onto Scottish soil. That feeling of raw wilderness calling you home in the most wonderful way.
