I usually photograph actors' movements in the 'Nafta' Theatre ('Oil' Theatre - Kharkiv, Ukraine) using long exposure. For this piece, I reversed the process: stepping into the theatre courtyard, I recorded my own movement around a large tree over 13 seconds. The resulting image merges my motion, the tree, and the surrounding urban landscape into one visual body, reflecting time, presence, and transformation.

Oleksandr Osipov (1985) is a Ukrainian reportage photographer based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Became internationally known in March 2022 with "In the Streets of Kharkiv" video series – performances of cellist Denys Karachevtsev playing Bach in the ruined streets of Kharkiv.
