This portrait was taken in the resilient yet struggling community of Masimanagar, whose lives were forever altered by the 2004 tsunami. Since that devastating event, they have endured years of hardship, living without stable land or sustainable livelihoods. The Cycle is a charity, which has recently created a new Women’s Sanitation Complex in Masimanagar, bringing a transformative sense of relief and dignity. This change has restored a sense of safety and respect for the most vulnerable.
