Between childhood and adulthood lies a fragile seam—where innocence and expectation collide. This photograph captures that distortion, not as a flaw, but as a truth: a moment suspended between who we are, and who we are supposed to become. The glass distorts, but also reveals. A child, caught in reflection, glimpses both futures—and must choose.
I am a portrait photographer based in Fukuoka, Japan, working across commercial and artistic photography. Through over 1,500 commissions, I have photographed more than 50,000 people. Since 2025, I have developed my artistic practice through THE essence, exploring the presence that emerges between intention and coincidence. In 2026, I held my first solo exhibition in my hometown of Fukuoka, attracting 207 visitors over four days.
