Sumo is Japan's national sport, and there are around 600 wrestlers in the sport, but it is a tough world in which only a few make it to the pinnacle, the rank of Yokozuna. All wrestlers train desperately every day in their quest to reach the top. This photo captures a moment in the morning practice of a wrestler aiming to become Yokozuna.

I work as a freelance photographer and mainly take sports photos. I cover all sports, but I mainly shoot sumo, CrossFit, weightlifting, etc. I also take stage photos of traditional Japanese drumming, etc.
