Modern Karate is a martial art born in the Okinawa Island (Japan) which consists on a variety of techniques based on the “empty hand” style of combat. Kyokushinkai, a style of karate founded by Masutatsu Oyama, is the most rough style of this martial art, aiming to win against the opponent by KO. It is the style most practiced worldwide. In March 2025 took place the Spanish Open Karate Championship in Badalona, where elite Kata (form) and Kumite (combat) practitioners of Kyokushinkai, and also the new generation, participated. Karate is a symbol of discipline, perseverance and competition.
Born in Barcelona in 1983. While doing a degree in History, specialized in Egyptology, she discovered her passion for photography and studied photography and professional lighting. She combined both passions for a living, working as an archaeological photographer in Egypt, with national and international archaeological projects in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan since 2006, and photographing daily life in Egypt during her working stays in the country. She has exhibited in Jaén (Spain), Alcalá de Henares (Spain) and Cairo (Egypt).
