Around 9 p.m. in late May, sunlight carved a path down a street, parallel to the Seine, in Paris’ Le Marais. The light beam lit up the swirling vape smoke, making it glow as it wrapped around the smoker seated quietly on the curb.
Photography is more than an art form to Jean-Marc — it’s also a tool for understanding, structuring, and simplifying the world around him. In his street photography, Jean-Marc enjoys capturing candid moments that are interesting, funny, or have the viewer ask questions. He likes American contemporary photographer Alec Soth’s wording of the key ingredients: Light, Moment, and Magic. While street photography remains his central focus, Jean-Marc's work expands to other genres. However, the human element is a connecting thread in all his photography.
