In the remote fishery villages along the northeastern coast of Mindanao Island in the Philippines, local Filipinos live a humble lifestyle in a confined geographical environment. They commute with privately operated trucks within the area and rarely see outsiders visiting. Both the girl and the young man were astonished to see me, a foreigner. When waiting in a car on a journey traveling in the area, I took the opportunity to take this shot behind the window.
