My two-year-old daughter, who had only recently learned to walk, took her first tentative steps on the lightly snow-covered lake. Watching her tiny figure on the vast white expanse instantly brought to mind Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the Moon, and his iconic words: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind." For her, this truly was the giant leap—a defining moment of discovery, courage, and infinite possibility.
