The photos were taken in Georgia, en route to the mountainous region of Tusheti during the annual spring migration of herds from the Alazan Valley to the Caucasus Mountains. I have participated in such migrations many times over the past 10 years, getting to know the Tusheti community. The photos are part of a long-term project aimed at capturing a vanishing culture in the mountains of the Eastern Caucasus.
