I took these photos in 2019 and recently arranged them as a collage. They’re part of my long-term project Passing By, which captures people walking past Manhattan shop windows. This piece is unique because the images are arranged to create visual connections across opposite corners. Each silhouette is lined up while telling its own story. The title holds a double meaning:they walked passing by this empty shopping window — and passing by each other.
