This photo was taken on a ferry trip from Vancouver to Nanaimo in early February. The weather was typical: cold, with a grey sky, wind, and a bit of rain. The journey lasts nearly two hours. On the upper deck, I noticed a young couple setting up a bright red hammock on the railing. The red of the hammock stood out against the grey sky and the emptiness around us. This scene caught my eye, and I began to take photos. The deck was empty, and I had to get close to the couple with my 28mm lens, but they didn't seem to mind my taking pictures. They quickly settled into the hammock and stayed there
