On the black sands of Víkurfjara Beach near Vík í Mýrdal, this photo series captures the quiet majesty of Icelandic horses against one of nature’s most dramatic backdrops. Set alone against the Atlantic’s foamy waves and the looming Reynisdrangar sea stacks—ancient trolls in legend—these images emphasize the powerful presence of the horses as they seem to merge seamlessly with the volcanic landscape. Known for their resilience and distinctive tölt gait, Icelandic horses embody a harmony between creature and place that has endured for centuries, symbolizing both strength and serenity.
