My first experiment in shooting a still life with my new camera. I was taken at first, by the way in which an object, or arrangement of them, will, in the right circumstances, seem to bear the patina of history - conveying the sense of having been wherever it is they are , undisturbed, for a long period of time. Here, I wanted to convey a sense of encountering a mystery - what are these objects kept here for, untouched? I don't want want to answer that question directly; I want to approximate the experience of looking back at the contents of memories with a sense of wonderment.
