Carved From The Same Wood

In my series I aim explore humanity and nature, the connection between nature and femininity. The photos were taken in Finnish Lapland, where trees grow slowly over hundreds of years and wind, snow, and frost shape their forms. I highlight the harmony between nature and humanity, blending the softness of human skin with the roughness of wood, finding similarities in the strength and resilience of the body with the trunks and branches of trees. In some images my model merges with the tree, appearing as an extension carved from the same wood emphasizing the silent strength of mind & harmony.

With my art, I want to take a stand and highlight social issues that concern me, while at the same time sharing the inner landscapes of my mind and the beauty I perceive around me. My photography moves between critical reflection and poetic observation, aiming to make the invisible visible.
