My hometown is a small city in the central plains of China that few people have heard of. With the process of urbanization, my hometown has become almost unrecognizable; old neighborhoods have mostly been demolished, and new buildings are constantly being built. The new construction came like waves in the sea, gradually engulfing the small town that now exists only in my memory. My disappeared hometown is like a nameless river, submerged in the waves of the times, but always flowing in the depths of my own memory.
