the land lord and believers in Shezi, Taipei

A group of local men wear bamboo hats, shorts and slippers or bare feet, towels around their necks, to carry the sedan chair of the land lord go around street at Shezi in Taipei. Pious believers burn incense, paper monery and set off firecrackers to welcome the land lord. They believe the land lord will be bring more wealth and luck to them. The activity hold on over 100 years in the Lantern Festival every year. This truly presents the religious aspects of early rural life.
