While I was in collage, I read a book written by a Chinese writer SanMao, who lived in Sahara for many years. The book is a series of stories about the writer experience in a real Sahara village. Since then, I was fascinated by Sahara. Dreaming one day I can visit there and see the Sahara by my own eyes. The dream comes true last year, when I got a chance to visit Morocco. Sahara doesn’t disappoint me. The sand dunes, the landscapes and the people all come to live from Ms SanMao’s book. This series of photos was my attempt to interpret the Ms ShanMao’s stories by my lens.
I am trained as an engineer but love photography. Three years ago I decided to quite my engineering job to focus on my photography passion. I love travel photography and would like to documenting the quickly vanished traditional lifestyles around the world. In additional, I do some portraits and still photography when I am not traveling.
