This photo was taken at Mt. Kishima in Aso, Kumamoto, Japan. Orion is one of the most popular winter constellations in Japan, and this photo was taken on a snowy mountain. I chose this location because it is a volcano and the constellation Orion appears right out of the crater of the volcano.
