Morning Tranquility

Zurich region, Switzerland. Driven by countless times always thinking there's a shot here but the conditions need to be right – some fog, snow or rain to separate and isolate the tree from the background. On a Saturday morning in early February 2023 I looked out the window and there was some drizzle and fog so I thought let's try as the spot is rather close. Very happy with how the photo turned out.

Born in 1979, I am an amateur photographer living in Switzerland in the surroundings of Zurich. In my spare time and when travelling I take joy in doing photography. Although I generally do not consider myself a very patient person, making pictures is often relaxing and calming and I can easily spend an hour or two in the same spot taking it all in, finding compositions, refining a composition and waiting for the light. I focus on landscape and cityscape photography. For quite some time now I feel myself more and more drawn to landscapes – where I am trying to find my masterpiece shot. ;-)
