While searching the coastline in Southeast Alaska for bears, we came upon this single humpback whale bubble net feeding. This is where the whale dives under the water and blows bubbles to force the bait fish into a ball, then the whale enters the net and surfaces with mouth wide open to catch the most amount of fish. As a wildlife photographer this was a rare opportunity that I was lucky enough to witness and photograph. KJB
