The Goshawk is not the easiest bird to photograph. It is elusive for a bird of prey, living and hunting in woodland. To photograph a Goshawk at all is exciting. To photograph it bathing was beyond exciting, being so rare. The bird was backlit in a woodland setting in low light. I was delighted to be able to capture the motion through the spray being given off by the drying bird, whilst also creating colourful bokeh as light hit the leaves of the distant trees.
