This work is part of my ongoing photographic project, begun during the Covid restrictions. My housebound goal was to find something interesting to photograph. At that time, I was given a microscope in exchange for some work. This serendipitously saw me delve into a world of beautiful shapes and patterns in crystals made from household chemicals (sweeteners, acids, etc.) Photographed on my 1970 polarising microscope. Poring through endless microscope slides, I have found and made a set of photographs that match my vision of what I want to achieve. All completely real subjects and colours.
