Shibuya Scramble (Light Version)

Shibuya Crossing, where hordes of pedestrians flood the intersection from all angles when the light turns “green”, is an iconic Tokyo location. To give the audience a sense of what the “Shibuya Scramble” looks like I chose a staccato effect to emphasize the trails of pedestrians throughout the crossing—rather than a long exposure motion blur. In this version, I layered only the lighter pixels of the subjects to emphasize the patterns from the multi-colored umbrellas.
