Arguably Bulgaria's most picturesque river Arda flows through some of the most beautiful and pristine scenery in Bulgaria. Her meandering route takes her past lush green hills, majestic mountains and hidden valleys. Undoubtedly, the most beautiful meander is located between the villages of Star Chitak and Ribartsi. The place is also called the "Bend" or the "Horseshoe" because of the "U"-shaped curve that the water makes. The most beautiful places are often quite remote and difficult to get to.The views of meanders of the Arda River are absolutely spectacular and totally worth the journey!
