In this 2022 series - Streets and Alleyways (HK 2022) - my fascination for backstreets and alleyways is reflected. I have an obsession for filth and dirt which contrasts with the gracious shattering of coloured lights. In October 2022 I visited Hong Kong to extend my style. About the photographer: Ties van Brussel (Netherlands, 1984) is a Dutch physician, street photographer and illustrator living in Amsterdam. My photography work focuses on nightly urban settings, with a special interest in the atmosphere of coloured lights in Japanese and Chinese cities.
