Abare festival is held every July in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. This festival is very powerful and dangerous. Local young people often get burned. Still, they bravely enter the fire and perform the ritual.
My name is Eiichi Yoshioka. I was born on September 28, 1986. In addition to photographing festivals in Kanazawa and the Noto Peninsula, I also enjoy street photography throughout Japan and overseas. My photography career was initially inspired by the incredible natural beauty of the Noto Peninsula. I have continued to be involved with the community ever since, seeking ways to contribute as a photographer. In April 2014, I moved to Monzen-machi, Wajima City, in Ishikawa’s Noto Peninsula, and opened an advertising office, Tsuki-Noto. Today, I focus on community-oriented advertising production
