The Medina of Fes is a huge pedestrian area where motorized means of transport cannot access and fragile communications are carried on by mules.“Balak”is a cry:it announces their passage.Although the economic condition of many people depends on the health of their pack animals, the health conditions of these animals, on the contrary, are not the best.Veterinary care is considered too expensive and all there is still too much narrow- mindedness to look at these animals with a more loving eye and even less to prevention.But there is an amazing clinic in Fez that offers free treatment for 100yrs.

Natascia Aquilano is a freelance photographer who lives and works in Rome.After the degree in Communication Sciences, she starts to develop an ever-growing interest in the photography, interpreted not only like purely descriptive means, but especially like communicative means, with which evoke, narrate and document the "circumstances of the point of view" through pictures. Her studies on Visual Communication start as self-taught, later consolidated at the ISFCI of Rome. Social and documentary photography has always been at the centre of her main interests, a field which she continues to deepen
