At the peak of the pandemic, healthcare workers were at the end of their rope: after several waves (spent in company of full personal protective equipment) thousands of patients have been transferred to the ICUs, patients being transported to hospital seem to wonder if there will be a return journey, sometimes there wasn’t enough ambulances to help everyone: the pandemic feels endless. In these moments, a short break with a child left alone with the hospital staff (his mother is in isolation) seems like a way to exorcise just for a moment the pandemic, thinking about the future: we must go on.
