The snow softens the shapes and color creating a scene in which soft lines converge towards a group of oak trees and two balanced granite rocks. Now both the trees and the rocks seem lifeless, but the simplicity of the scene inspires a soothing peace and the abundance of snow holds the promise of a beautiful spring. This image tries to be a tribute to the winter scenes of Matsuo Basho's haikus, which have taught us so much to look closely at what is truly important. "My Eyes Fall on It / Snow in the Morning"
