Seoul Architecture: Right Place, Right Time

This series is an exploration of Seoul’s place identity via the study of its ever-changing architectural scene. From Seoul City Hall to Dongdaemum Design Plaza, Seoul continues to showcase her heritage but yet rebellious energy synonymous with the K-pop culture. The article is published in “We Are” magazine June 2022 edition, an online publication by Royal Photographic Society Women In Photography.

Gigi Chung is a fine-art photographer specializing in abstract architecture & a Hasselblad Heroine. Her works have been curated into the inaugural Monochrome exhibition at The Glasgow Gallery Of Photography in 2019. She has exhibited in Athens, Chania, Cormons, San Francisco, Seoul, Vermont, Portland, Greensville, Taipei, London and New York. Her "Emergence" series debuted as her solo exhibition at Hasselblad Japan in 2019 & was curated into Kyotographie KG+2020 featured exhibition. Her “California Fantasy” solo exhibition was held at Bando Camera Gangnam in 2022.
