A one year ago, I had the opportunity to see live Kyūdō /Japanese: 弓 道 / for the first time . Kyūdō, is a Japanese martial art of archery. Kyūdō is based on kyūjutsu ("art of archery"), which is dates back to the time of the samurai. I don't want to write about history or meaning because, Google will tell you everything… Kyūdō impressed me with his iron discipline, pure humility, unwavering self-control and, last but not least, tireless self-improvement. What is shocking to me is the constant knowledge of self-improvement or the never-ending "cultivation" of the oldest generation in Japan.
