The Rhine is the largest river in Germany and one of the busiest rivers in the world. The river has a significant impact on the lives of people, who in turn significantly shape the river and its banks. The Rhine is living, sometimes destructive energy and power and tranquillity at the same time. In rare moments you are alone with this majesty.

Johanna Hurter is a fine art and panorama photographer who wants to make the interactions between nature and man visible with her images. She uses photographic techniques, long term exposure, panorama technique and others, to interpret her subject. Nature, wind and weather help shape the images. Her images were awarded in international competitions.
