This photo was taken at Fairy Glen on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It is a mysterious and enchanting place. In the heart of nature, it is a magical place that moved me and inspired me this image of Sabbath. But this place is not at all natural. This image questions the relationship to Nature and to the spirituality of the human being. I draw my inspiration from the Fairy Tales, the Romanticism, the Gothic fictions and my passion for literature and my experience as a clinical psychologist lead me to explore the themes of dream and unconscious.
I draw my inspiration from painting, particularly from the Symbolist, Art Nouveau, and Pre-Raphaelite movements. Conceived as pictorial works, my photographs, sometimes dark, sometimes luminous, have a philosophical or psychological background through the use of archetypes and symbols. Whether through the exploration of a myth, questioning our relationship with nature and beauty, or even questioning our beliefs, there is also a passionate desire hidden in these photos to re-enchant the world and give meaning to our reality.
