The horizontal lines on the wall and the design of the blue bicycle suggest speed and motion, also happily accentuated by the bright colors of the eye-catching façade of an entrance area in Amsterdam. The vehicle however is standing still and a closer look will even show it is broken.

I am a Dutch artist that lives and works in Almere, near Amsterdam. In 1990 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg in photography, painting and drawing. Since the development of digital photography my camera and computer have become important tools for creation. Because of my fascination with patterns, music scores, languages and other types of structures, my work always has been inhabited by geometric shapes, lines and rhythm. My current passion is the abstract beauty of architecture. Through my photographic work I hope to inspire and touch people's souls with visual music.
