These images are part of an ongoing series inspired by "Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji" by Katsushika Hokusai. They are centered around Tokyo Skytree. The ability to be instantly recognized and to blend in with the surroundings are hallmarks of an architectural symbol. Tokyo Skytree is unmistakable even as a silhouette. It stands in perfect harmony with natural elements such as blooming wisteria and with cultural aspects such as the koinobori raised for children’s day. Images were captured using a mirror in front of the lens to capture the light and add reflections unique to each scene.

Amateur photographer based in Tokyo, using artistic photography to explore universal patterns in nature. Visualizing structures and forms that transcend species, time and physical reality helps me interrogate transiency and permanence, frailness and robustness, and find fundamental beauty in everyday life.
