I have always felt a tension between owning something that is new vs. something that has become "personalized"- an object that has been characterized through time. I consider an object to be truly beautiful when it can be stripped away from superficial and materialistic qualities. I often reflect on how beauty can be interpreted and how the most ordinary objects can appear amusing. Over time, a strong "connection" and an enticing feeling from these objects is found. Whether it may be the patina, the nicks, or the scratches, all of these intrinsic traits formulate the "Beauty of Time."
