An underwater series capturing Indonesia’s millennia-old marine lakes teaming with millions of golden jellyfish. Thousands of years ago, the seabed was uplifted forming marine lakes completely cut off from the surrounding ocean. Over time, rain diluted the saltwater, providing a unique ecosystem for marine life to evolve. Without natural predators, jellyfish multiplied in their millions over generations and lost their stinging cells. This photostory represents human and animal coexistence in delicate ecosystems.
