Nenets

The Nenets, a traditional group of reindeer herders in the northern Yamal region of Siberia, Russia, have a special bond with reindeer. They rely on them for clothing, transportation, food, tools and even keep some as pets. Given the harsh winter conditions that can sometimes drop below 50c, the Nenets must migrate long distances each winter in order to reach greener pastures so that their reindeer can feed.
