The image was taken at Formby Dunes on the Northwest coast of England on a bright sunny day and shows how natures elements of strong winds from the Irish Sea has formed the shapes of the trees as they are exposed on the high sand dunes. This particular tree grabbed my attention as I am always on the lookout for such trees that form interesting shapes and patterns. I knew that it would convert well to Black and White and I could create something in my own artistic style.
