I found this image on a trip to the snowy wheat fields in eastern Washington state. I spotted the snowy fields and turbines on a quiet side road. There the specular glint off the turbines added a nice surprise to the organic patterns in the snow.
I live in the Seattle area, and am one of those people who see the world in bw tones. Having attended many photography field workshops, I have been influenced by Stu Levy, Don Kirby and Bruce Barnbaum. They got me hooked on bw. Thus am always on the lookout for blacks and whites, those tones in between and a sense of luminosity.
