“Everything” says theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, “is relational". To realize this movement of non-static matter as a fluid and interdependent state with every ‘other’ thing, enables a critical understanding of the social engagement and responsibility humans have with the ecological systems they inhabit and depend upon. There’s a silent and poetic axiom in still photography, a medium capable of magnetically drawing our attention to the both the lie and the truth in the illusion we are viewing. My work is a sonnet to freedom. To all that which we are, but have forgotten to remember.
