This photo is part of a larger body of work called, "Ness" a work in progress, born out of my connection both historical & emotional to these places. Using slow photography and painting with light & chemicals, the deliberate scratching & scarring of the surface, the passage of time the joy & anguish of memory creating an emotive response. The often brooding landscapes have a commonality in their suffix, "Ness" meaning promontory jutting into the sea, points to past and future stories. The Blackberry Path symbolises past adventure, danger, the unknown now softened with time and memory.
