Tohoku offers visitors a wealth of cultural and culinary delights, as well as outdoor adventures in stunning scenery. This set of pictures was shot on assignment for National Geographic Traveller (UK) and the East Japan Railway Company. The photographer journeyed by rail across Tohoku over five days, documenting the faces and places of one of Japan's best-kept secrets.
