The red spider lily, known in Japan as Manjushage, is often called a flower of the heavens. In this vision, a celestial maiden descends among its blazing blossoms. She waits for her beloved, offering prayers and dance once more, day after day, in hope of reunion. This work seeks to capture both the ethereal beauty of the heavenly flower and the timeless yearning of the maiden, suspended between devotion and longing.
