Japan's summers are enveloped in relentless, scorching sunlight, prompting passersby to naturally open parasols for protection. Against the urban landscape sinking into deep darkness, this work captures only the two illuminated parasols floating in light - distilling the sweltering season into its essential elements. The faint rays of sunlight piercing the black canvas quietly highlight memories of summer and human activity, simultaneously evoking minimalist beauty and the quintessential Japanese summer scene.
