Portraits made of children participating in Pow Wow's held by the Ho-Chunk Nation in Madison and Monona, Wisconsin, USA. Pow Wow's are events held to celebrate Native American culture. Children wear traditional regalia in different symbolic styles and dance in different styles that are appropriate for their particular regalia. The Ho-Chunk tribal name translates roughly to "People of the Sacred Voice."
